I am a firm believer that we should photograph the people we love. When my grandmother passed away, I was so glad that I’d taken her portrait and that I had it to keep. Since then, I’ve offered private portrait commissions as a way of marking and preserving people at various stages of their lives. The goal of each sitting is to produce a print, taken from black and white film, on fine art paper. Optional framing is also available.

In addition to my photographic work, I have worked as an artist for over a decade. I see these portrait sessions as a way of bridging the gap between my art practice and my photography practice. In each session, I work with a subject to produce an image intended to be printed and hung on a wall.

I believe portraits should make you curious about the subject of the image, and I always work to produce photographs that hint at the complexity of a subject. For more information about fine art portrait commissions, click here.
